Our Story
From the Hidden Valley of Hunza in the Karakoram
At the northern edge of the Indian subcontinent, where the snow-capped peaks of the Karakoram Range embrace the sky, lies the secluded valley of Hunza - a land untouched by time. For centuries, the people of Hunza have lived in harmony with their surroundings, self-sufficient and guided by nature's rhythms.

From Language Hunting in the Karakoram by D.L.R. Lorimer (1939).
Among the many remarkable qualities of Hunza women, their long, lustrous hair stands out. Nurtured through generations with simple, intentional care rooted in nature, their hair became a quiet symbol of vitality, balance, and inner health. This image is not just a window into the past — it’s a reminder of timeless rituals that endure.
Their secret? The powerful apricot kernel of Hunza. The villagers crafted skincare from wild apricot kernels, walnut shell, glacier-fed rosehips, hand-pressed and infused with mountain herbs.
Mysticare Is Born
When I moved to the UK, I faced a crisis: the hard water and synthetic products damaged my hair. Desperate, I returned to my roots. And so, Mysticare was born - not as a product, but as a homecoming.
Mysticare blends apricot kernel oil from the Himalayas with Indian amla, Moroccan argan, and rosemary - pure, potent, and purposefully chosen for hair growth, scalp nourishment, and shine. Each bottle pays tribute to the rituals I grew up with: the warmth of oil on the scalp, stories told on Sunday evenings, and the strength passed through hands and hearts.
More Than Hair
Mysticare is about more than just hair. It's about reclaiming time, honouring your heritage, and finding softness in self-care. It's for anyone who wants to grow - stronger, slower, and rooted.
Whether you're rebuilding your strands or starting a new ritual, I am honoured to be part of your journey.
With Love,
Samreen
